One of the highlights of the Cultural Center of the Philippines' 50th Anniversary Celebrations is the meeting up of the arts with the business sector via the first Manila International Performing Arts Summit (MIPAS) happening on September 19 to 22, 2019 at the CCP along with various locations.
With the theme Ripples Across Creativity & Industry, this multi-platform summit coincides with the Federation for Asian Cultural Promotion (FACP) Conference; the Association of Asia Pacific Performing Arts Centre (AAPPAC) Conference, and the Manila International Performing Arts Market (MIPAM) + CREATE Philippines. All of this aims to leverage excellent performing arts productions and talents in the Philippines and the Asia Pacific Region, as well as raise awareness and broaden the market internationally.
From September 19 to 20, 2019 the FACP Conference gathers impresarios, presenters, festival promoters, and content providers from the Asian region. This conference, with this year's theme of Generation Next: The Future of the Performing Arts, provides a platform for the members of FACP to exchange ideas and discuss issues concerning the entertainment and arts industries in the Asia-Pacific region. It is also a way to forge greater cooperation among members. The CCP last hosted the FACP Conference back in November 2011.
Meanwhile, the MIPAM + CREATE Philippines, a global platform for performances and business-to-business exchanges, will take place on on September 19 to 21, 2019. In partnership with DTI-CITEM, the platform invites international performing groups and festival organizers, as well as local and international promoters, producers and agents from FACP, AAPPAC and CREATE Philippines.
There will also be seminars featuring speakers Atty. BJ Pallattao, John Paul Lanot, and Alessa Libongco-Lanot discussing topics such as Managing Business for Arts Sector, Basic Branding Principles, and Safeguarding Intellectual Property Rights in Performing Arts.
On September 20 to 22, 2019, the AAPPAC Conference, with this year's theme Waves & Crosscurrents in the Performing Arts, gathers management executives and presenters from leading performing arts venues in the Asia Pacific region to chart out strategies fostering greater public appreciation and demand for the performing arts.Resource speakers and panelists, who are experts in their fields, will discuss topics such as cultural diplomacy, arts philanthropy, smart technology, partnerships between the academe and the performing arts centers, the rise of small, independent performing arts spaces and the rise of arts and culture districts and how it enlivens city economies during the three-day conference.

The MIPAS is made possible through the partnerships with the Department of Trade and Industry – Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (DTI-CITEM), Department of Tourism (DOT), Tourism Promotions Board (TPB), the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), and CNN Philippines.
