Plácido Domingo returns to pop repertoire for Songs album

Legendary tenor Plácido Domingo returns with a new album entitled Songs which is his first album of pop repertoire in over twenty years. Plácido Domingo hand picked personal favorites and collaborated with world renowned veterans and promising newcomers for this album released in the by Ivory Music & Video, the exclusive licensee and distributor of Sony Music in the Philippines.

The album Songs includes some of the most popular melodies from the past 70 years and features four languages. Also featured are collaborations with Josh Groban for Sous le Ciel de Paris, Susan Boyle for From This Moment On, Harry Connick Jr. for Time After Time, Katherine Jenkins for Come What May, Chris Botti for Besame Mucho, Megan Hilty for Il Mio Cuore Va – My Heart will Go On, Zaz for La Chanson de Vieux Amants and duet with his son, Plácido Domingo Jr for the track What a Wonderful World. Other tracks include Cancion para una Reina, Un Uomo Tra la Folla, Parla Piu Piano, Eternally, Celos and The Girl from Ipanema.


Plácido Domingo’s Songs was one of the CD releases under Ivory Music & Video that was presented during the Astroplus Blog-Connect event.
