Czech folk group Kubalovci performs in Manila

Manila will be treated to authentic Czech folk music as folklore band Kubalovci performs at a one night concert entitled Czech Folklore Evening happening on October 21, 2013, 7:00 PM at the Grand Ballroom of the Dusit Thani Manila. This event, presented by the Czech Embassy in ManilaTravelife Magazine and Dusit Thani Manila, is part of Bohemian Rhapsody, in celebration of the 40th anniversary Czech-Philippine diplomatic relations.

Composed of Jiří Návrat on first violin, double bassist Jan Ondera, violist Tomáš Truneček, Jan Toloch on the cimbál, and violinists/fiddlers Vojta Klein, Jiří Toloch, and Jeroným Toloch, Kubalovci is a group of young students from Opava, Czech Republic. They play traditional songs of Silesia, South Moravia along with those from other regions in Eastern Europe.

I am very interested to see and hear personally for the very first time the Czech traditional cymbal in this performance. I think that it will be also the first time for many in the audience to see and hear this instrument too.

Czech Folklore Evening featuring Kubalovci is presented by the Czech Embassy in Manila, Dusit Thani Manila and Travelife Magazine in line with Bohemian Rhapsody, the series of events in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between the Czech Republic and the Republic of the Philippines.
