Lang Lang records Chopin's Études, Op. 25 in latest album

Chinese piano superstar Lang Lang has come up with a new album featuring the music of Frédéric Chopin. In this record, aptly titled The Chopin Album, Lang Lang has recorded Chopin’s second set of études, Op. 25 along with the Andante Spianato & Grande Polonaise, Op. 22. Nocturnes and waltzes make up the rest of the tracks in this album. Études are short technical pieces aimed in improving a pianist’s skill and Chopin revolutionized this form by infusing them with remarkable artistry and musicality. Chopin's sets of études are now considered as masterpieces and are staples of a concert pianist's repertoire.

The Chopin Album is released in the Philippines through Ivory Music & Video, the exclusive licensee and distributor of Sony Music in the country.

Lang Lang’s The Chopin Album was one of the CD releases under Ivory Music & Video that was presented during the Astroplus Blog-Connect event.

Chopin’s Études represent something quite new in the tradition of writing studies for the development of piano technique.
