Malaysian pianist Claudia Yang performs at Ayala Museum

The MCO Foundation’s Great Performances Series 2013 continues with Malaysia’s premiere pianist Claudia Yang performing this July 27, 2013, 7:00 PM at the Ayala Museum. Claudia Yang will perform Frédéric Chopin’s four ballades and Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Preludes, Op. 23.

Claudia Yang studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Vienna under Paul Badura-Skoda and later with Ludwig Hoffman. Back in 2010, she was invited by the Frédéric Chopin Society in Poland to celebrate the bicentennial anniversary of Chopin’s birth. After that, she was invited to sit as a jury member at the International Chopin Competition for Young Artists.  A year later in 2011, in commemoration of the bicentennial anniversary of Franz Liszt’s birth, she was invited by the Hungarian Government to tour Asia and Europe and give concerts featuring the complete Liszt repertoire.
