Conductor Grzegorz Nowak, violinist Vincent Romanban to perform at PPO's October concert


Polish conductor Grzegorz Nowak leads the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra in their upcoming Metamorphosis 38th season concert this October 7, 2022, 8:00 PM at the Cultural Center of the Philippines' Tanghalang Nicanor Abelardo (Main Theater).

Pieces to be performed are Lucio San Pedro's Lahing Kayumanggi, Felix Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto in E minor Op. 64, Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Fantasy Overture, and Igor Stravinsky's Firebird Suite (1919).

Violinist Vincent Owen Romanban is the featured soloist for the Mendelssohn violin concerto.

Nowak is the permanent associate conductor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, London, UK. He was music director of the Polish National Opera, Warsaw, Poland from 2017-2020 and other orchestras in Poland, Germany, Switzerland, and the USA. He has conducted orchestral music recorded in over 80 CDs that have received awards and 5-star ratings.

Nowak is one of the five shortlisted conductors for the position of PPO's next Music Director/Principal Conductor.

Violinist Vincent Owen Romanban

Romanban is an active member of the UST Symphony Orchestra under Maestro Herminigildo Ranera. He was part of the Pundaquit Virtuosi under Coke Bolipata. 
He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in Violin Performance under Noel Martin at the University of Sto. Tomas.
