The CCP will turn into a one day komiks convention on the second day with the all day tribute to Coching. Catch the reading of Coching's Lapu-lapu by the students Eastern Samar National Comprehensive High School whose video of their performance went viral online. This is also the last chance to view Coching's centennial exhibit Nasaan Ka Na, Mara-Bini? which wraps up this weekend.
The third and final day will shift the focus on poet and National Artist for Literature Edith Tiempo who is also celebrating her birth centennial. An exhibit opening, poetry readings, performances, and a workshop by Malaysian Azam Rais are just some of the events lined up for the day devoted to her.
Each day is jam packed with talks, readings, exhibits, performances, film screenings, and other attractions. And admission for a whole day at the Performatura Festival is just a book donation. While textbooks and reference books are welcome, donations of creative works like fiction and poetry that can ignite the imagination of the readers are highly encouraged.
