Manila Pianos Artist Series presents Interval, a recital featuring guitarist Alberto Mesa happening on March 12, 2023, 6:00 PM at the Manila Pianos Showroom at Paseo de Magallanes, Makati.
Pieces to be performed at the recital includes Johann Sebastian Bach's Prelude, Fugue, and Allegro in E flat Major, BWV 998, Johan Kaspar Mertz's Elegie, Andrew York's Machu Picchu, selections from Frederic Hand's Five Studies, Nikita Koshkin's Usher Waltz, Op. 29, Augustín Barrios Mangoré's Choro de Saudade and La Catedral, and Sevilla from Isaac Albeniz's Suite Española, Op. 47.
Mesa, a member of Manila Guitar Quartet, has performed in numerous chamber performances and was a featured soloist with the UST Symphony Orchestra. He is currently a faculty member and chairs the Guitar Department at the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music.
Tickets are priced at P800 each with discounted tickets at P400 for PWDs, seniors, and students are also available. Reserved tickets can be claimed at the gate on the day of the performance.
