Harana comes alive in afternoon shows at the CCP

The kundiman and the harana come alive once again as the Cultural Center of the Philippines and Tribung Pilipino Foundation headed by Danny Dolor present Harana sa Dapit Hapon, an afternoon musical event featuring performances of kundimans, harana, balitaw, danza and love songs by Filipino composers.

Sopranos Gloria Coronel and Liza Cabahug, tenor Lemuel dela Cruz, violinist Gilopez Kabayao and pianist Corazon Kabayao together with their daughters, violinists Siciliene and Farida Kabayao will be the featured artists at the initial event happening on March 11, 2015, 4:30 PM at the Bulwagang Nicanor Abelardo (CCP Main Theater Lobby).

Future shows of Harana sa Dapit Hapon will happen on April 8, 2015 featuring the Kabataang Gitarista, on June 10, 2015 featuring Miguel Castro, Fame Flores and Los Lipeños. Other performances for the year are scheduled on July 8, September 9, October 7, and December 9.
